Frequently asked

How long does a typical migration take?

Most single-workload migrations run 4–8 weeks from assessment to handover. Multi-workload or compliance-heavy migrations can run longer — we scope this precisely at the end of the assessment phase.

Do we need downtime?

Often none, or only a short planned window. We design the cutover sequence specifically to minimize customer-facing impact, and flag upfront anywhere a brief window is unavoidable.

What happens if something goes wrong mid-migration?

Every migration plan includes rollback points, so we can revert a specific stage without unwinding the whole project.

Can you migrate between two cloud providers, not just on-premise to cloud?

Yes — cloud-to-cloud migrations follow the same four-phase process, and are often faster since there's usually less custom infrastructure to reverse-engineer.

Our story

Started because on-call was broken

Dependixtech started with a simple complaint we kept hearing from engineering leads across Hong Kong: managed service providers answered tickets, but nobody actually understood the infrastructure they were supposed to be protecting.

So we built the opposite. Every account at Dependixtech is staffed by named engineers who did the onboarding audit themselves — not a rotating queue reading from a runbook they've never seen fail.

That principle has held as we've grown from a two-person team supporting a handful of local retailers to a 34-person engineering group managing infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud for clients across manufacturing, retail, and logistics.

We're still small enough that the engineer who answers your 3am page is someone who was in the room during your onboarding call.
